Thorsteinn Gunnarsson - Chairman

Thorsteinn graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a MSc. in electrical engineering in 1992. A former CEO of Opin Kerfi and StoreVision. Chairman of the board of Advania. Thorsteinn has over 20 years of experiance in the software and computer industry, his management experience ranging well over a decade.

Dr. Arnar Jensson - Board member

Arnar completed his PhD degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology in computer engineering in 2009. The emphasis of his work was on computer linguistic technologies. Arnar created the first Icelandic speech recognition system. For six years he received a full honor scholarship from the Japanese government (Monbukagakusho). From 2000 to 2003 he worked as a computer software engineer for Dimon Software, an Icelandic based startup company.

Dr. Eythor Eyjolfsson - Board Member

Eythor earned his doctoral degree in Japanese linguistics and studies from the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich in 1993, after his studies and research at the University of Hiroshima. He has lived in various countries including Japan for 18 years and speaks 6 languages fluently. Eythor is a successful serial entrepreneur. He has started and managed companies in Japan, Iceland and several other countries.

Hekla Arnardottir - Board member

Hekla is an investmest Manager for NSA Ventures (Nýsköpunarsjóður atvinnulífsins). Hekla worked for over ten years at the global medical innovation company Ossur (NASDAQOMX). She was involved in the entire development process, from R&D, through early design up until launching a product. She was a product manager for the company in Shanghai where she gained valuable insights into the Asian and Pacific markets, especially Japan, China, South Korea and Australia. Hekla joined NSA ventures in 2010. She serves on the boards of Cooori, Mint Solutions, Remake Electric, TCT and is the chairman of the board at Intelscan.

Dr. Ragnheidur Jona Jonsdottir - Board member

Ragnheidur holds a Phd in Curriculum & Instruction from The University of Wisconsin, Madison, an MA in English Literature from UW Madison as well, and a BA in Comparative Literature from the University of Iceland, as well as a Teacher Certificate. An English teacher, Ragnheidur is a former president of the Association of Language Teachers in Iceland. An entrepreneur, who is in the process of founding a non-profit cultural center, Hannesarholt, in the restored historical site of the last home of Iceland's first prime minister and a founding father: Hannes Hafstein, a politician, poet and intellectual.
